INTRODUCTION

The Li & Fung Service Leadership Initiative (SLI) is a cooperative effort of the Victor and William Fung Foundation, the Hong Kong Institute of Service Leadership (HKI-SLAM), and the eight University Grants Committee (UGC)-funded institutions in Hong Kong. The initiative represents a bold strategic effort to strengthen service leadership education in HongKong.

The Service Leadership Initiative was announced in a press release issued by the Foundation on January 4, 2012. Presidents of the universities, university SLI Principle Investigators, representatives of HKI-SLAM, and representatives of the Foundation celebrated the launch of the Initiative with a dinner at the Hong Kong Club on January 18, 2012.

SLI VISION

By December 31, 2015 Hong Kong will be recognized internationally as the Global Fount of Service Leadership education.

To promote the development of sustainable university-level curriculum and extra-curricular programs aimed at producing graduates, who passionately assert the Service Leader’s Pledge and explain convincingly why,

SLI ULTIMATE OUTCOME
